Have I lost my mind?

I seriously question my state of mind! I just purchased another website! This one is an advertising and information site. Stay tuned for the full details once we get the transfer done and I am up and running!

I don't really think I am going nuts! The opportunity presented itself for me to purchase the site and I am looking for ways to increase my income potential. My dream is to retire some day and run my online businesses full time.

WAH!!! Where did my favorite seller go???

I hadn't been on eBay in a while. I had decided to concentrate more on my Cookie website - Cookie Gift Boutique (can't resist getting a plug in! LOL) and wasn't listing anything. It had reached the point where I wasn't making much with the items I was listing. Apparently that must be the case with a lot of folks I used to buy from! I had one that I always bought bubble envelopes from. One that I used to buy clothes from - (see, I like to be just a little different - nothing major - just find clothes that no one else HERE has). And, there was the guy that I used to find a few items in his store that I could resell. They are all GONE! Poof! I was limited on time, so I didn't do an extensive search. But, man! The fact that 3 of my faves are gone doesn't bode well for the site! The big site did say they wanted to change their direction. I am just not sure that this is the direction they were aiming for. LOL!

Chasing Rabbits!

That is what I feel like I have been doing for the past week! I really, really intended to post more frequently than I have! I have been trying to get my two web stores to where I want them to be. I wanted to add some different cookies and a selection of cookie jars to Cookie Gift Boutique and needed to add more items and work on the shipping module of Miz Mara's Boutique. I still have some work to do on the shipping module. I need to call USPS to activate the module in Miz Mara's Boutique. I took a few days off from the vendor fair events, but will get back to them in a big way starting this next week. I think I have two scheduled for next week. And, will probably try to do at least two a week for a while. The kids are back in school (not mine - just kiddoes in general) and it's time to start advertising for the upcoming holidays - Halloween - Thanksgiving - Christmas and all the others!

It is almost Fall, isn't it?

If it is, it doesn't feel like it! LOL! The expected high today is 99 with a heat index of 110! Not exactly Fall-like yet. But, the kiddoes are going back to school. My granddaughter started last week and the kiddoes here where I live start next week.

Life will pick up the pace! School events and activities will soon be in full swing. OOPS!

I didn't realize that I haven't posted this week! I guess that yard sale really took it out of me! LOL!

Actually, I have been spending every spare moment listing what was left overt from the yard sale (and, yes, I had lots left over!) in Miz Mara's Boutique. And, I have actually made progress! Now I am down to the items that I need to take pictures of. To do that, tho, I need to clear some space on the table!

I have also been adding a few cookies to Cookie Gift Boutique. I added some Halloween cookies and some for Grandparents Day (September 10th). I will be adding a few more and some for Stepfamily Day (September 16th). Be sure to go by and check it out! The Grandopening Sale is going on until September 1st.

ACK!!!

Ack!! I feel like Bill the Cat! I am tired! I got up this morning at 4:30 am to move all of the "stuff" outside to the car port for the yard sale. Blech! It was hot and sticky!

We decided to shut it down about 10:30. We had a few shoppers, but most here in our part of the world are early birds! They get out to get the very BEST bargains. We didn't have a lot of shoppers. Maybe because it is so close to back to school time and the parents are thinking more along the lines of school supplies and clothes instead of those fab bargains at the yard sales!

We did sell a few items. And, now I know what I have to put into Miz Mara's Boutique. I have a few items there already, but now I can REALLY start listing. LOL!

Where did the weekend go?

Wow! The weekend went by pretty quickly! I had hoped to get more done on my part for the upcoming yard sale, but it just didn't happen. We are having a yard sale on Saturday. I have been waiting until after the yard sale to fully stock Miz Mara's Boutique because I am hoping to sell off some of the excess inventory. I think Mom has just about all of her things priced and ready to go. But, not me! LOL!

This week will be extra stressful in the office. I have to get the financials and the budget for next year ready to go for Sunday. We are having a business meeting. I think I have delegated out some jobs that I usually do this week to others - the youth intern is going to help me with the food pantry. While I sign the folks in, he will go get their sack of groceries. And, another co-worker will probably run a couple of my usual errands for me. I just need to ask!

All in all, I am trying to remember that God is in control! I tend to stress over things that I shouldn't. This week, I am trying to lay it down at His feet. And, leave it there!
